I came to BOSS because:

I came to BOSS to challenge myself in new ways. Prior to taking my 14 day field course, I had been an Outward Bound instructor for five seasons and saw BOSS as a way to push myself.

I teach at BOSS because:

I instruct at BOSS because my experience as a student was everything I was hoping for and more. It not only expanded my outdoor survival skills, but grew my connection to the land. Being a member of the BOSS family continues to challenge me in the best of ways.

About Brad Hanson:

My outdoor career has taken me from rafting in the Pacific NW to caving in cockpit country (Jamaica) to canoeing in the Boundary Waters (Minnesota) to building hiking trails in the Southwest to teaching cross-country skiing in the Sierras to rafting/canyoneering/hiking on both sides of the Henry Mountains (Utah). I strive to bring place-based education to the world of mainstream education.
