We know that taking a BOSS course is a financial investment. We do not take that lightly, and we understand it personally. No one running the school or working in the field wasn't once a student themselves. Many of us only had the opportunity to take a course through a scholarship, tuition assistance, or scraping the money together. For others of us and for many of our students, the tuition wasn't a burden. We strive to make BOSS equally accessible to anyone regardless of their financial situation, and we've been lucky enough to be able to get our average Tuition Assistance grant close to $2,000 per applicant.

Just as we teach in the field, we strive to run the school doing more with less and ensuring that everything we carry (or buy) is justified. We continuously re-examine our operation to ensure the focus of our efforts and expenses are on you and your experience in the field.

BOSS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational institution. One hundred percent of your course fees go to operating the school and providing the programs that BOSS has been known for since 1968.

BOSS Staff

Paying BOSS staff is our most significant expense (and we’re happy that it is). Still, the work your instructors and those that support them do is a labor of love. We all know we could make more money at other jobs, and none of us survive on working at BOSS alone, but we choose to work at BOSS because we believe in what we do. Experts staff each BOSS course. Many of our instructors are internationally renowned and consult on projects around the world. Two to three instructors join each course with a lean crew operating in the background to run logistics. We have two part-time administrators and one full-time. All of them are BOSS instructors. We are proud to have a very low administrative overhead.
