COLLEGE CREDIT
BOSS Courses Earn College Credit
BOSS courses earn college credit through Western Colorado University. Our courses focus on field survival and wilderness skills and the ecology and anthropology of the Desert Southwest. We believe in hands-on, contextual learning. Every lesson we teach is also a skill we rely on in the field. BOSS has been a leader in experiential education since 1968.
College Credit Through Western Colorado University
BOSS partners with Western Colorado University to offer college credit for our courses. Depending on the length of the BOSS course, students are eligible for up to three semester credits. To earn the credits, students must pay a per-credit fee to Western, and complete a reflection paper after the course. The credits are recorded as ROE 397, Special Topics in Recreation and Outdoor Education. Contact your academic or departmental advisor to see how this can support your degree.
